About Us
Our Story
Raula Rappa was born from a simple, unforgettable moment. Two years ago, at a family wedding, there was some downtime between events. Instead of scrolling on phones, a few of us grabbed napkins, wrote Punjabi words on them, and invited everyone around to guess the words. What started as a way to pass time quickly turned into laughter, friendly chaos, and unforgettable connection. People of all ages jumped in teasing, guessing, learning, and laughing together. When the wedding ended, the idea stayed with me. I searched for a Punjabi word game that captured that same energy and found nothing. That’s when Raula Rappa began. Over the past year, that napkin game evolved into a real, playable experience. Raula Rappa has been tested with multiple groups, and every time the result is the same: loud laughter, genuine fun, and people truly connecting. It brings families together, sparks memories, and turns any gathering into an event. Raula Rappa is more than a game. It’s a celebration of culture. It encourages the younger generation to engage with the Punjabi language in a fun, pressure free way, helping them stay connected to their roots while playing alongside parents, relatives, and friends. No screens. No apps. Just people, culture, and pure Raula Rappa around the table. Welcome to Raula Rappa.
Meet the Creator
I’m a first generation Punjabi American, born and raised in Northern California, with deep roots in both California since 1954 and the Punjab region. Growing up, culture wasn’t just something we talked about. It was lived, loud, and full of laughter.
Raula Rappa was my way of turning those memories into a game that brings people together. It celebrates our language, sparks creativity, and passes our cultural roots on to the next generation while having a whole lot of fun.
